If you keep changing your nicks(names) like I do socks,no way are you getting a ten from me.It isnt fair,although yes,it is in the TOS that you can,to those who have hung onto their nicks and EARNED their ratings through thick and thin.So really,Im sorry,but no can do.I dont care what your reasons are anymore.I will however,give you the next best thing.Besides,if you complain about a 9 from me..well,stop changing your damn nick all the time and I might change my rate.

Why would someone keep changing their name? I can understand changing it once, if you just picked one quickly to open an account (although why you would do that?) and then finding one that fit better...

last week had been long and full of prepwork.Friday alone,I worked 20 hours nonstop to make the final preps and worked on the Stallion's mane until 3am.Everything went well,we got to the show ,found our spot and unloaded .Got everything ready for the first class,and the whole time the Stud was being the perfect gentleman...I swear,the horse digs showing off his stuff. Right before my first class,we were informed that we could not show because he was a Stallion.WTF???

Shit.

But hey,looking at the competition,we knew..and so did they,thay we would have walked away with everything.He had even began to accumilate his own little fan club.

And he impressed me so much with his manners,so it was all worth it just for that reason.I cant lie and tell you that I wasnt dissapointed though.It took alot of Psyc to get myself ready...it would have been the first time in 30+ years that I would have re entered the show ring.Im not a show girl..Im a polo girl,but I do it for my friend,who owns that Stallion.I think can also say that,I believe that I just might have enjoyed showing that ponie..Maybe next month we will get another shot..at a show that allows stallions!

I have always felt that those who drop names when threatening others are just pathetic,and by doing so only prooves how weak and rediculous they really are .After reading through some journals this morning as I normally do,I came across one who was posting her threats to someone and all the while throwing out a few names, telling this person how they have her back etc..And the funniest part? SHE was the one being the ass,provoking the poor sod and laying down her rediculous stipulations while she used the names in an attempt to make him believe that she has some kind of clout.Now,I have to tell you,the very people whos names she keeps throwing in other's faces are friends of mine too.And I know for a fact that they would in no way condone or back her in her ignoramus and bullish endeavours.

Why in the hell would anyone worth their salt or with any kind of backbone or strength pull someone's name into a conversation of that nature who most likely has nothing to do with and most likely wouldnt have anything to do with the drama she actually appears to consistantly perpetuate and create for herself? and yeah,I see side affects of her drama all over VR these days...Im laughing my ass off here because SHE is the one who goes about and creates it whle blaming the very peeps she bullies.

Sure beats the hell out of me...

Hmm I might have to post a Bullyten board after all.

Last night I got a call from my father .It was a bit late and he would normally have been in bed sleeping.When I saw that it was him I became concerned that omething might be amiss, but as it turned out he was calling to inform me that he had recieved a call from Australia just prior to calling me.The call was from a very well known business man over there and concerned my late mother's ring which she left to me when she passed.The Opal is an 8 carat black opal that was mined from NSW's Lightning Ridge by our own hands during those years I was going to school over there.Those in the know about such things know this rock and there had been many attempts to purchase it by several individuals over the years. Evidently some had not forgotten it even after all this tiime.LOL trust me,once you see it in person,it is very hard to forget.

Once we brought the uncut stone stateside,my father ,after looking for a time and finally locating an artist brave enough to cut the stone had a ring and a pair of earrings made for my mother..Sadly,the earrings were stolen a long time ago.But the the Opal had to be set in 11 1/2 grams of 24 kt gold which was styled in a manner that would protect this precious and rare gem.Anyway,there was an offer made for the stone during the call of 350,000 to which my father replied " it wasnt for sale."I only tell the amount because there are times when money means nothing.This is one of those times.No matter how much.They then upped their offer to an ungodly amount of which ws almost laughable so I wont even tell you what it was because again,he declined.I am so relieved that he did too because I will never sell my opal.

After that call,I opened the safe and took it out.It almost seemed to be glowing with a light of its own as it seems to do anytime something significant happens in my life or when I think about mom..I couldnt help thinking that wherever mom is,she was happy that I didnt sell it.

So am I and Im pretty sure dad was also..

These pix are really crummy because they were taken with a phone and there wasnt much light at all.They are out of focus,and dont even come close to doing it justice or showing all the colours and things that make this Opal so special.Even so, crummy or not,it didnt prevent some of its brilliance and glow from coming through despite the lack of lighting.

I love you mom,and will never sell the one thing I have left of you besides my wonderful memories.If a person's spirit could manifest itself in stone,then whatever the powers that be got it so right because this truely is a special and beautiful gem...just like she was.

Thank you Priss.Its a black opal and it has alot of fire.It has rolling flash (fire)that covers the entire face. To qualify as a gem,an Opal must have 9 colours..this one has 12.

this year we are going to the Breeder's cup and while it isnt my first time,it is my first time where I will not be on the backside in boots and jeans.Nope..this time I will be watching from a box at the finishline.Yayyyy

As so with that,we must obtain our hats of course.If I wear a black hat,these are my choices thus far.I sure could use some help in picking two..one from each colour I choose.We will end up with two hats,different ones for both days of the match.Please vote and help me choose one?

The 3rd and 4th are my two favorites with the 4th maybe my favorite because it is whispier..Im not really sure yet,but it might be fairly taylored ,knee lenght or just at or above..with a string of pearls or something.No patterns as far as print in mind though..I would rather go for texture? Im not sure.I need hellp!!!

Same hat but different feather configuration.I looked at hundreds so far and these are really the only 4 black ones I like..I keep bouncing between 1 3 and 4.Qs for the dress,I cant make up mt mind whether to go rettro or ultra modern.Or just a simple shift with spectator pumps..Sigh.Good thing I have a few weeks.

Regrettably, being color-blind, I didn't even realize there were two colors there. With jess' help though, I was able to pick two. The very top one because although simple, is just purely elegant and will look great with your stature. As second, I would go the very bottom because the more flared brim adds an air of playfulness, like a butterfly - on your head.

Thank you Cade for your imput and Jess's.These are the black choices..I have not posted the coloured ones yet..so dont worry.:) The very two you have chosen are the two I am leaning towards also.the third one I like very much but I feel it is too heavy looking for the dress I am liking.Here is a link to the dress of choice so far.I will also wear gloves.

I love Lalique! When my ex and I broke up, I noticed that he took the one piece of Lalique glass -a scarab - that he gave me, from our joint glass collection...the asshole.

I recognize the two pieces shown here from books that I have on Lalique and the Art Nouveau movement. He was a great artisan!
